PROGRAM OBJECTIVE(S): At the conclusion of this program the participant will be able to:
Identify obesity as a chronic, progressive, relapsing, and treatable multi-factorial neurobehavioral disease
Describe the physiology of obesity and hunger including genetic contributions and hormone signaling
Discuss general treatment options including nutrition, physical activity, behavior modification, and pharmacotherapy as well as indications for bariatric surgery
Identify obesity-related medical complications
